Stella Shared 3: Three artists, three visions, our values

The best inspiration does not come in isolation – it comes together from conversation and collaboration; an exchange of ideas harmonising diverse, creative voices. This perspective is embodied in Stella Shared 3, a capsule of conscious unisex staples exploring shared values and aesthetics speaking the same language as the Winter 2021 ready-to-wear collection, but in the words of the next generation. Inspired by ‘Y is for Youth’ from the McCartney A to Z Manifesto, we offer our platform today to three creative forces of tomorrow: Ed Curtis in London, Maisie Broome (Myfawnwy) in New York City and Tom Tosseyn in Antwerp, with their prints featured on iconic Stella archetypes blending fantasy and reality.

There will be exclusive in-store experiences globally, including immersive store takeovers curated by the artists at our London, New York City, Tokyo and Shanghai flagships. Additionally, there will be limited-edition, collectible posters available.

For my McCartney A to Z Manifesto, I shared my platform with next-gen artists who interpreted our values through their visions. Stella Shared 3 continues this spirit of collaboration today, remixing indisputably Stella pieces with prints by incredible talents of tomorrow – collectively advancing by sharing our respective skills, resources and communities.

London artist and designer Ed Curtis’ vibrant, psychedelic prints are immediately recognisable clashing on knitwear made with traceable wool from regenerative farms. Riffing on club kids, his hand-painted graffiti Stella logo brings a countercultural attitude to regenerated nylon puffer jackets, organic cotton jumpers and our vegan, iconic Falabella bag.

Sharing our platform with next-gen creators, Stella Shared 3 progresses the work of New York City artist Maisie Broome aka Myfawnwy. Her signature hand-marbled prints and faces on painted suns and flowers shine across organic cotton jersey t-shirts, coordinated sets and vegan Loop trainers — optimistically blending fantasy, wearability and a connection with nature and each other.

Stella Shared 3’s creative collective includes Antwerp-based graphic artist Tom Tosseyn. He reinterprets the Stella logo in a futuristic style — transforming the S into both a lightning bolt and a yin yang, while also extrapolating it into a series of alliterations that represent our collective values to him across conscious luxury pieces like regenerated nylon bombers, recycled fleece and organic cotton denim.

The capsule makes vintage-inspired knit accessories current including bucket hats, balaclavas and mittens. Classic baseball caps are energetically elevated with psychedelic prints. Rounding out a complete wardrobe offering, Ed Curtis’ psychedelic prints step up socks and tights in vibrant colourways as well as Fur Free Fur totes.
