The Spring Summer collection reinforces a mood of British traditions, timeless modernity and an effortless silhouette. A playful bohemian feel is introduced, bringing a seasonal attitude into the wardrobe of the Stella McCartney man.

Signature elements including traditional heritage, sportswear and bohemia layered together. Funnel neck tracksuits peek out from under suit jackets. Tailoring in classic checks, tones of sand and mélange blues are given a twist with sportswear details. The juxtaposition of styles continues with pressed trousers with athletic inspired elasticated waistbands.

Personal British references from Stella are present throughout the collection; Portobello Road, the sartorial classicism of Saville row and her love of sportswear is an inspiration throughout. Retro West London references appear in the form of block colour patchwork alter nappa, suede and scarf prints create playful bombers, jackets and blankets matched with bucket hats.

Tailoring focuses on subtle patterns, colours and silhouettes. Jackets are sized-up with the introduction of patch pocket styles lined with sustainable viscose. Trousers become slim and elongated with either stirrup tracksuit styles or a subtle boot cut. Italian woven checks in extra fine wool, cotton and wool mixes provide a more formal texture.

A sophisticated palette of summer neutrals is mixed with primary sportswear colours. Outerwear in soft black, dark truffle or traditional check is combined with tailored sport stripe details. Oversized sporty parkas in lightweight checked nylon and classic trenches in khaki or beige are complimented by quilted floral and tie print coats and bombers that inject humour.

Knitwear is vibrant and varied with cozy ribbed styles sitting alongside timeless pieces. Bold striped sweaters in cream and black or shades of blue sit alongside chunky knits with intricate feather details or playful wisps of wool. A series of regenerated cashmere crew neck jumpers in 10 shades, featuring a small embroidered ‘S’ logo completes a wardrobe of sustainable staples.

Organic cotton shirting in camel, ginger and rust tones with pure white checks and pinstripes. Light oxford and soft pink with tonal embroidery give the jersey a pastel summer lightness. Perforated and embroidered graphic tees with skin-free-skin details add texture, alongside a fun ‘Suitable for Vegetarians’ logo. Kicking off the first iteration of artist collaborations for menswear, New York based Tony Cox’s collage blankets are repurposed into an embroidered print on t-shirts.

Cruelty-free classic loafers are introduced this season in alter-nappa croc or snake, decorated with a Falabella chunky chain in gold or gunmetal. Updated seasonal colourways of leather-free Eclypse and Loop sneakers link to the bohemian theme. The hippy feel is amplified with a new vulcanised canvas high top sneaker with striped colourways and seasonal fabrications of patchworks. Soles also carry printed messages; ‘No Smile No Service’ and ‘Members and Non Members Only.’

Bags and accessories comprised of recycled polyester and alter-nappa feature a perforated Stella McCartney logo, scarf prints and humorous slogans. Patchworks and prints echo the ready to wear in tote bags and striking fanny packs.
