Comic Relief UK

Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day appeal is the largest charity initiative in the UK. In 2009, Stella McCartney supported Red Nose Day by designing a series of Fairtrade organic cotton T-shirts with all profits donated to the charity. Again in 2013, she has designed the collection of Red Nose Day T-shirts exclusive to the UK together with a limited number of customised versions. Comic Relief was launched in 1985 by filmmaker Richard Curtis and comedian Lenny Henry in the belief that laughter is the best medicine. The charity aims to bring positive and lasting change in the lives of the most vulnerable people and communities in the UK and Africa by investing in initiatives that address their immediate needs as well as tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice.
