Celebrates launch with “All is love” Limited Edition Bandana & “Louise Listening” Post-operative Mastectomy Compression Bra Donation Initiative

Monday, October 15th 2018. To celebrate the launch of, award-winning actor and director Idris Elba OBE is featured in Stella McCartney’s new Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. Honest, confident and inspiring, this new campaign short film “All is Love” sheds light and information on the disease, a very personal cause to both Idris and Stella.

Appearing alongside an inspiring group of people who bravely share their experiences with breast cancer, the British actor narrates “All is Love”. Idris’ voice challenges the taboo of men speaking openly about women’s breasts and the experience of breast cancer, which effects both women and men directly and aims to inspire, educate and support.

In conjunction with the campaign film, Stella has designed an “All is Love” limited edition bandana in collaboration with modern American outfitter, Best Made Co. The red 100% cotton bandana is printed with encouraging messages and Best Made Co.’s key pillars for an extraordinary life -“Grace, Compassion, Courage, Fortitude” – to serve as a reminder to both women and men to stay healthy and get themselves checked regularly.

Idris Elba comments:

“Along with many other people. I was unfortunate enough to have lost my father to cancer 5 years ago. Removing the taboo around men talking about breast cancer and encouraging other men to talk about it with their wives, mothers, sisters is something you don’t often see or hear about but it should be. We should be encouraging the women in our lives to go for regular check-ups. I admire Stella for all her hard work around bringing awareness to this disease and I applaud her for such a great campaign- the gift of the Louise Listening mastectomy bra to breast cancer sufferers & survivors is a beautiful idea.“

The “All is Love” campaign short film follows the first part of the campaign which launched on the 24th September in celebration of Stella’s mother Linda McCartney’s birthday featuring Sofia Vergara as the face of the designer’s annual limited edition lingerie set, “Rose Romancing” in Pale Rose. The Stella McCartney Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign for 2018 highlights that the fact that the disease does not discriminate; Breast Cancer affects both men and women; each and every person – regardless of gender, race, ethnicity or belief. Everyone deserves access to preventative education and knowledge about early detection, holistic support throughout treatment, and advanced breast cancer care.

Stella McCartney has long been a supporter of charitable causes such as Breast Cancer Awareness, which has naturally led her to establish Stella McCartney Cares. The new platform will allow the designer and the brand to funnel their philanthropic activities and efforts through one centralized channel. As part of the first initiative of, the “Louise Listening” post-operative mastectomy compression bra which has been named after the designer’s mother, Linda Louise McCartney, will now be globally distributed for free. Available on a donation basis only, the bra can be requested on, the newly formed website. Stella hopes this new initiative will help women around the world have greater access to the bra and the comfort it provides during their battle with breast cancer.

Stylish and feminine, the “Louise Listening” bra unites feminine design with technical support, combining super-soft cotton with lace detailing in blushing shades of Pale Rose and Ivory. A practical front zip fastening allows for ease and reduces discomfort, whilst a wide under band and deep sides allow for support and comfort without the need for underwire. Incorporating feedback from the multitudes of breast cancer patients who have tested the bra, the design includes ultra-soft internal pockets for use with prosthesis, wide, adjustable straps, and an extended size range of S – XL, fitting cup sizes 32A – 42E.

Stella McCartney comments:

“There are so many emotions attached to the tragic realities of having had a double mastectomy. And we just wanted to make something that allows women undergoing this to have something to be proud of, something with no shame attached. We wanted women to know that you can still be feminine, have your sensuality, have all of the things that are attached to being a woman and that part of your body can still feel beautiful on the outside, as well as the inside.”

Further highlighting Stella McCartney’s Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, the designer’s recently opened store at 23 Old Bond Street is housing an exhibition from October 10th through November 9th in the “Members and Non Members Only club,” to offer customers insight and support during Breast Cancer Awareness month. The dedicated space will display the campaign film starring Idris and additional imagery.

A cause particularly close to Stella’s heart, sales of both the “Rose Romancing” set and the “All is Love” bandana will benefit leading charities and support centres worldwide including the Linda McCartney Centre in Liverpool, the Hello Beautiful Foundation in London, and Memorial Sloane Kettering in the US.
