Celebrating signature Stella, the new Winter 2016 Campaign is inspired by effortless sensuality with a sense of humour, starring model and activist Amber Valetta.

The Campaign is our debut collaboration with Ed Ruscha, featuring the iconic American artist’s signature text graphics superimposed on the frame. The statements playing on our vegetarian ethics and humour, “NO LEATHERS FEATHERS OR FUR”, “VEG OUT” and “MEAT FREE”, purposefully overlay yet compliment the campaign images shot by Harley Weir.

The collaboration marks a natural progression from Stella McCartney’s personal, long-standing friendship with Ed Ruscha who ranks as one the most iconic artists of the 20th century and whose landscapes intersected with elliptical phrases pioneered an artistic movement.

Amber Valetta returns as the face of the campaign for the first time since 2008, embodying the spirit of the naturally confident Stella woman in the new season’s fluid knitwear, exaggerated puffa jackets, playful swan prints and luxurious ruffles.
