Stella McCartney and denimwear are synonymous – elevated yet effortless, feminine with a masculine attitude, transcending age and gender. Utilitarian and wearable, ours is crafted from sustainable materials down to the patch at the back, which is made from an apple-based vegan alternative to animal leather.

In 2020, we showcased our commitment to sustainable fabric innovation with the introduction of the world’s first biodegradable stretch denim. We have used organic cotton since 2008, and we are aiming to use 100% organic or recycled cotton by 2025. So far, we have successfully increased these percentages year-on-year. Currently, 100% of our denim is either organic or regenerative cotton.

We are working on being able to trace our cotton all the way back to the farm that it was grown on so that we can ensure it is being grown in a regenerative way – not just maintaining, but actively improving soil health and biodiversity as well as helping to regenerate watersheds and supporting the surrounding ecosystem in thriving.
