Our most sustainable sneakers to date, Stella McCartney revisits S-Wave trainers for Autumn 2025 – with every component incorporating innovative alternatives. Inspired by vintage runners, the neat, sleek upper silhouette is crafted from panels of breathable mesh using recycled fibres and resting upon a lightweight, supportive BioCir® Flex sole - a non-toxic, biobased alternative to fossil fuel-based plastics that is both compostable and recyclable. Add a pop of colour to your ensemble and slip them on with denim or activewear for all-day comfort.

This post and pre-consumer recycled polyester uses pre-loved textiles and industrial waste, reducing our use of virgin materials, preventing waste from entering landfills, incinerators and oceans, and limiting the use of virgin fossil fuel-based fibres. The upper is made with an engineered recycled polyester knit, combined with recycled alter suede details for strength. The tongue and lining are made from sustainable hemp and the black label is spun from organic cotton. The softness and flexibility of the shoe come from a vulcanised sole, made with recycled rubber.
