Stellabrating Father’s Day with Stella Kids

An unbreakable bond, the love between Stella Kids and their fathers deserves to be Stellabrated. The greatest teachers, biggest fans and unconditional supporters, dads help to guide the next generation in becoming the fearless leaders, loyal friends and curious pioneers they are meant to be.

In honour of Father’s Day 2022, we spotlight three London-based families as they share their favourite moments, the rewards of parenthood and, most importantly, what Stella Kids and their dads love most about each other – all whilst wearing pieces from our Spring Summer 2022 collection. From spontaneous trips in nature and seaside visits to playing on the monkey bars and racing trucks, we hear from Henry (age 3), Maro (age 10), Aru (age 7), Jamie (age 3) and Jonathan (age 1 ½), alongside fathers Juni, Mariano, Alex and Mark.

Meet the Szalais

What do you love about your dad?

Maro: “He is cool and he is very kind to me! He loves our family a lot.”

Aru: “When he does kind things for us, like making us food, helping us and taking us to the seaside!”

What’s your favourite activity to do with your dad?

Maro: “Playing ping pong and going somewhere together, like school and the cinema.”

Aru: “Playing, too. It’s fun when he helps me climb the monkey bars and pulls me upside down.”

How are you celebrating your dad this Father’s Day?

Maro: “Making him a special card and giving him peace.”

Aru: “I’m also making a special card with tiny flowers!”

What do you love about fatherhood?

Alex: “All the chances I get to look for opportunities and experiences for the children; to watch their amazing energy, to grow physically and their capacity to store so much new information in their heads through their early years never fails to puzzle me.”

What does fatherhood mean to you?

Alex: “Searching for my better self and reminding myself that children look for their role models in their mums and dads – so being always on my toes, as much as I can…”

If you could describe fatherhood in one word, what would it be?

Alex: “Joy!”
