The limited-edition Stella McCartney × Glastonbury 2023 vest

The limited-edition unisex vests are rare collectors’ items, available exclusively from the Glastonbury website – upcycled from pieces created for Glastonbury 2007 and featuring psychedelic, airbrushed designs of nature inspired by Paul and Linda McCartney’s iconic 1970s festival looks. This year, it has been remixed with a lolly motif at the back pulled from our Summer Loving capsule.

Stella has a storied history at the iconic British music festival as a regular festival-goer, as well as dressing artists and friends. All proceeds from the Glastonbury 2023 vest will be donated to Oxfam, Greenpeace and Wateraid – supporting people and communities in need, as well as our fellow creatures.

Deepak Chopra’s peace procession

Deepak Chopra staged a peace procession at Glastonbury, guiding the crowd from the Park Stage up to the stone circle – flying a flag calling for the end of war, human suffering and planetary destruction.

Three beautifully intricate banners and 60 flags were hand-crafted using upcycled surplus Stella fabrics and left-over festival wristbands by artist Dorcas Casey, inspired by banners created by the suffragette movement and Thalia Campbell’s from the Women’s Peace Camp at Greenham Common. They marched alongside seven horse costumes, referencing traditional European folk processions.

It was a real honour to incorporate Stella’s beautiful fabrics into our banners. I admire her strong principles and how she uses her voice to bring about change and address toxic practices within the fashion industry. Her fabrics brought a lot of vibrant energy to our procession.

Cate Blanchett (re)wears Stella suit for Sparks performance

On Friday, award-winning actor Cate Blanchett (re)wore our Summer 2018 Savile Row tailoring whilst performing with Sparks at Glastonbury.

Cate previously wore her canary yellow Stella suit for Sparks’ ‘The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte’ music video as well as to a press conference for ‘Oceans 8’ in 2018. Further proof that timelessness is true sustainability, encouraging us to wear our clothes more and waste less.
