Monday, March 5, 2018. Paris. Today, Stella McCartney officially launches her menswear collection on the runway at Paris Fashion Week alongside her Women’s Winter 2018 collection at the Opera Garnier. The eight looks featured comprise an exclusive retail capsule collection part of the Stella McCartney Autumn Winter 2018 Menswear Collection presented in Los Angeles in January.

The new addition to the designer’s show illustrates the Stella McCartney man’s relationship with the Stella McCartney woman and her signature style approach that plays on a masculine sensibility and a sense of effortlessness.

Softly deconstructed classic and timeless pieces that sit both within a man and woman’s wardrobe. Celebrating that relationship and bringing the two together in a modern way through iconic menswear themes.

Tailoring in soft mélange pinstripe in taupe and grey and check tweed outerwear are simply layered over v-neck knits and an iconic white t-shirts. Featuring Stella’s signature Skin Free Skin alter nappa, a zip jacket paired with drop crotch tuxedo pant is black on black. Traditional reconstructed Aran knit jumper in a soft wool alpaca mix come enlarged over trousers with sporty red grosgrain. By contrast an overtly textured knit vest in tones of camels gives a nod to bohemia.

Looks are paired with the new circularly designed Loop trainers made of stretch knitted uppers for both men’s and women’s collections are constructed without the use of any glue, substituted instead with specially designed hooks, the ‘design for disassembly’ helps to extend the longevity of the product.

The exclusive retail menswear Autumn Winter 2018 capsule collection will be available at Stella McCartney directly operated stores and online at www.stellamccartney.com at the end of June.
