Stella McCartney Celebrates the Re-opening of Milan Flagship Store and Presents Spring 2015 Collection

Milan, June 23, 2014. Today Stella McCartney celebrates the re-opening of her Milan flagship store located at Via Santo Spirito and presents her Spring 2015 collection at Orto Botanico di Brera. This is the European debut of the new collection previously shown in New York on June 5th. The redesigned  store, located in an 18th century neoclassical historical building, illustrates the designer’s new store design concept. The 168 square meter space spread over 2 floors reflects the world of Stella McCartney within an intimate and modern atmosphere; carrying the brand’s luxury women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, lingerie, fragrance and kids collections.

The store’s new and updated design features include a concrete slab floor punctuated with integrated Calacatta marble running through the ground floor. A marble staircase is backed by an installation of FSC certified BAUX Träullit, a recycled tile from Sweden made of a combination of wood wool, cement and water. The store’s upper level features eveningwear, lingerie and shoe collections. Brass and steel linear rails connect to wall panels finished in a mixed textured concrete render displaying Stella’s signature designs that play on masculine and feminine. Handbags including the popular Falabella are merchandised on book matched marble shelving.

To express the fun, modern and playful Stella McCartney kids collection the sculptural brass rail installations are transformed into vibrant primary pop colours with rubber shaped ball accents. Completing the space, fitting rooms play on humour featuring Perspex pendants in bright colour, googly eyes and 100% recycled foam cube seating.
