STELLA MCCARTNEY STORE TO OPEN IN BANGKOK

August 10, 2012. Stella McCartney opens her first free-standing boutique in Bangkok, Thailand at the Erawan Bangkok. The 1100 square feet space on the shopping mall’s 1st floor reflects the world of Stella McCartney using simple and natural materials contrasted with sculptural details. Illustrating her signature style combination of sharpness and femininity, the store interiors also reflects an intimate, personal and architectural atmosphere.

The new store mirrors the Stella McCartney store design concept with large display windows framed by brass details and signage. Inside the gallery of the store, the oak parquet floor in a bespoke herringbone pattern designed by Raw Edges in Stella McCartney’s colour palette of plums, pale pinks, blush, nudes and taupe, guides the customer throughout the store. The designer’s ready-to-wear collections are hung on an array of delicate brushed brass sculptural fixtures, on a backdrop of pale grey textured Venetian plastered walls, while accessories are displayed on alcove shelving and white hand glazed rhombus tile plinths. Completing the space, fitting rooms play on humour and whimsy featuring abstract perspex pendants in bright colours and various random shapes.

The store will carry the brand’s luxury women’s ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, sunglasses, lingerie and kids collections. The Stella McCartney brand was previously available in Singapore at leading Asian luxury retailer Club 21’s flagship boutique since 2010. Now, the partnership has expanded into franchising the mono brand into free-standing stores, including the recently opened location in Singapore. The Stella McCartney collections are also available within the South East Asian region at Club 21 and On Pedder multi brand stores including Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta and the soon-to-open location in Kuala Lumpur.
