Bringing together fashion, film and sustainability, and launching at the London Film Festival, Green Cut is a unique initiative lead by Green Carpet Challenge co-founders Livia Firth and Lucy Siegle. Stella McCartney is one of eight designers to have created a bespoke dress inspired by a classic film and made using the latest sustainable technology.

Inspired by Harold Pinter’s 1967 adaption of Nicholas Mosley’s novel, Accident , Stella McCartney has created a strapless dress with floral embroidery in organic cotton thread with certified cruelty free silk crepe de chine lining and a bustier and belt in OEKO TEX certified viscose duchesse.

Stella McCartney chose Pinter’s film for its quintessentially British feel as well as noting that ‘…what I really like about Accident is this kind of clash between youth and old age and the tension between the masculine and feminine roles in the film. It is quite a dark film. It leads you to a certain feeling, and leaves you with something to think about which is what I enjoy in a film because it challenges you.’
